Fire Safety Services (UK) Limited are a national service provider, maintaining fire safety equipment, including fire alarms, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers, providing fire risk assessments and training and many other fire related products and services throughout the UK.
With a growing fleet of vehicles our accumulative mileage is in excess of half a million miles per annum.
Whilst we are vigilant in the upkeep and condition of vehicles, it is more difficult to monitor driver behaviour, having had an exceptional record for nearly 10 years it would be easy to sit back and become complacent about the non existent incidents and accidents to date.
Fire safety services are very positive in their approach to Health & Safety, and with driving probably being the greatest risk we present to any of our employees we took a decision in late 2007 to provide assessment and coaching sessions for all company vehicle drivers.
Having selected a number of companies to provide this service we felt the approach of
Chris Jones Fleet Driver Training was the best suited to our needs. A nice gentle approach to individuals who believe they are the best driver on the road, and we all tend to think that of ourselves, was essential.
Now half way through delivery of the training, we have only had positive feedback from everyone who has been assessed to date.
Our aim is to protect life, make driving more enjoyable whilst having a lesser impact on the environment through efficient and safe behaviour.
One driver alone has increased the miles per gallon from his vehicle by eight miles and has commented that he actually feels less tired at the end of the working day and is enjoying driving again!

RoSPA Advanced Driver Training was provided to three Operational Trainers from Siemens Energy Services and each driver achieved The highest Gold award.
"I have recently re taken my RoSPA Advanced Driving Test after failing on my first attempt, Chris was highly recommended to our company to carry out driver training, his expertise and friendly approach was very helpful and any concerns I had were explained.
On my second test I achieved a Gold standard, which was way beyond my expectations, I would have no problems in recommending him for the various levels of driver training because I believe that it was down to his professional approach that helped me to succeed".
